Focusing on Friends
After reading this section and seeing what Steve Tesich wrote about, I get the sense that guys don't share the same amount of feelings with one another as girls may, but I feel guys share a bond that girls cannot share. Sure there are qualities that girls share and then there are qualities that guys share. Guys may laugh and joke around but it's not so often when a guy shares his deeper self or feelings with another guy, but then again it all depends on the situation. Girls will share their life stories with one another, how they are feeling in that exact moment. Who they love, what they think about. But when it comes to girls and guys talking, a sense of both is brought out of each other. Guys will share more of themselves to show they're compassionate about this girl and girls still show their inner self in order for the guy to see the full picture. At the end of the section he speaks about how he is going to free the women he knows, which I think means, he is going to be more open to his friends about what he truly feels and what he cares about. Steve has these feelings for all of these guys, his problem is, he just doesn't know how to tell them.

I agree that guys and girls eventually open up to each other. Then guys do not really open up to each other even though they appreciate each other. Girls share feelings with each other all the time but that is just how girls are. What Tesich I think has decided is that he is gonna be more open with everyone to show how much he cares.
